We are a boutique landscape design company specializing in naturalistic and historical design. Our designer has thirty five years experience in all phases of the landscape trade and has managed and designed for one of the oldest and largest landscape companies of the Mid-Hudson Valley. He now brings this experience to the Capital, Saratoga, Lake George, and Catskill regions. Because of his love of the creative process, our designer does a great deal of the installation...a unique situation in our specialized world. A good deal of time is spent experiencing the site before a design is even started. Nothing is comitted to paper until the experience of the site has been considered and a concept has begun to form on its own accord. While this may take a bit of time, the organic nature of the process produces a unique and appropriate design. With respect to the site, we work with and not against it. This saves a great deal of time and money as it did in the project pictured top left, where excavated rocks served as a retaining wall and an excavated boulder was carved out for a fire pit. This method was not only economical, but realized something unique; and nothing can look more natural than rock that comes from the site. Our use of native plants is another key ingredient in our design. Their use often negates the need for irrigation, lessens the need for a great deal of pesticides, and usually lowers the costs of the project.
